Western Walnut Coffee Table Sweepstakes to support Schlegel Family (CLOSED)

Thankyou to all our customer, friends and family for entering our sweepstakes. This sweepstakes is now closed. We will be notifying the winner in January 2024. We appreciate all who were able to donate and also those that were able to send encouraging words of support. 

Earlier this year, we bid farewell to a long-time employee and friend, Kelly Schlegel, as he and his family moved across country to embark on a new chapter in Vermont. We celebrated his journey from high school Shop sweeper to Shop Foreman, reminiscing about the many Kelly stories that had become an integral part of The Joinery's history. After a 16-year career with us, Kelly connected with countless customers, leaving an indelible mark as "the tall guy in finish."

However, just as Kelly’s family was settling into their new life, they were faced with an unexpected challenge. His wife was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma, turning their world upside down.

To help support Kelly’s family during this difficult time, The Joinery is organizing a unique fundraiser. We created a beautiful Custom Western Walnut Coffee Table (retail value $2,800) to be raffled off with all proceeds going to Kelly's family. The suggested donation is $50, but no purchase is necessary*. Sweepstakes run from 11/29 to 12/31 and there is a limit of one entry per person. Shipping is not included.

Friends and family also established a GoFundMe campaign to provide financial support. If you had the pleasure of knowing Kelly (or even if you didn’t but just want to help), we encourage you to enter the raffle for a chance to win this incredible coffee table, or consider a note of encouragement and donation to the GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity will go a long way in alleviating the financial burden on Kelly's family as they focus on his wife's recovery.
